Chrysler Offers $1,000 Incentive to Volkswagen Owners

Sergio Marchionne, the head of Chrysler Group, has a holiday present for Volkswagen owners – a $1,000 rebate towards the purchase of any Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ram or Jeep vehicle.

According to an article on AutoBlog.com, the incentive stems from an ongoing battle between Marchionne and Volkswagen. The drama includes a lot of “he said, they said” including name calling and price gauging accusations.

Called the “Volkswagen Conquest Bonus Cash Offer”, the rebate is available now through January 2, 2013, to current owners or lessees of any VW brand vehicle. The $1,000 bonus cash can be used towards the purchase of any 2012 or 2013 Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram or Fiat. And VW owners do not even have to trade in their current vehicle – just show your current lease agreement or registration to qualify.
